Professor Thomas Clarke - Gut Bacteria and the Immune System
Dr Clarke is a Welcome Trust and Royal Society Sir Henry Dale Fellow and group leader at Imperial College London. His talk describes how our indigenous bacterial communities are important for the functioning of our immune system and protecting us against infection.
Dr Clarke previously worked at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in the USA and did an undergraduate degree and PhD at the University of Warwick in biochemistry.
