Orpington u3a have a number of Interest Groups listed together under the heading of "Leisure". Click on a group that interests you to find out more details.
Crafts - We have 2 groups running on the same day and covering the same craft, morning or afternoon
Cryptic Crosswords - Share your cryptic puzzling with this group.
Curry Club - This group meets on weekday evenings at local restaurants serving Indian or other Asian food for the purpose of enjoying good food and conversation and making new friends.
Learning to be Retired - This is a short, 5 week, course run by Bromley that runs twice a year. It is aimed at those of us who find retirement a challenge.
Lunch Clubs - There are two lunch clubs meeting in local pubs for lunch.
Meditation - Four different meditations lasting about 10-15 minutes each plus some discussion.
Members On Their Own (MOTO) - We have 2 groups. The aim of MOTO is to provide friendship to Members who live on their own.
Painting - Meets at the Fire Station. More experienced painters help the beginners.
Photography - Open to photographers of all levels. The group is focused on enjoying photography and getting the most out of the hobby, not on competitions.
Real Ale Appreciation - Visits to unusual pubs, clubs and breweries, travelling by public transport or private coach.
Snooker - Meets weekly in Petts Wood, all levels welcomed.
Sunday Lunches - Two groups, one catering specifically for solos. Dining at selected local restaurants, with members taking turns to find and book restaurants.
Wine Appreciation - We have two wine tasting groups, meeting in members' homes.
